The rough times are here

Well folks just checked Tim's blog of the "meter is running". Poor guy needs a pair of shoes. I guess he will just have to put newspaper in them. Regarding his five mile walk to work, he could make a sign and work it on the way to and from work. I guess the days of six pack of Bud is history. Read where Cracker only showed a profit of $280.00 for 70 hours of work. I knew a guy who made that much working 4 hours a day holding a sign. But this are different now, but just as tough.

"Flying a sign" seems like a good job at this time. On the Friday before Christmas in 12 hours I booked $109 on 7 fares! Have you ever heard of such a thing? With worn out shoes!

This week was better. Cleared about 650 and taking Sunday off. But, believe me it was because the cell phone was ringing, not from dispatch. Wish I could work tomorrow since there will be a lot of 50 dollar trips to TIA because of the bowl game. But I got to get Christmas shopping done. The only wat to make it here now is with specials...They call them P.C.'s here in Pinellas for some reason. Thank God that one of my specials pays my lease for me at Chritmas each year. Major company that I thought was about to go about of business. Not Yet. I make more off the phone on most days than from our computer dispatch. Sad to Say..Cracker
