I am a day late but not a dollar short

I wanted to write about this yesterday but I hade
something a bit more burning to write about.

How does a team come back from a 10 spot in the bottom of the first, it beats the heck out of me.

The Texas Rangers had all the reason's in the world to tank Tuesday nights game at Fenway, down 10 they where a team going nowhere, but they fought back.

They scored 2 in the second 8 in the fifth, that brought them to with in 2 of the Sox, the Rangers with 5 in the 6 th pulled in front by three.

But the Sox pulled it out with one in the 7 th and four in the 8 th made the score 19-16, all the Rangers could muster was 1 run in the 9 th.

Baseball is a game of stats, more then any other sport on the planet, yeah I know other sports do keep stats but in baseball its a passion.

The game on Tuesday nite was both a stat keepers dream and nightmare.

The combined line score was, R 36 H 37 hits and E 4.

Texas had 7 players with 2 or more hits Boston had 5, Marlon Byrd and Dustin Pedroia each where 5 for 6

Both pen's got a workout Texas used 4 relievers and Boston used 5.

Its good the game started at 4 pm because if it started at 8 like many do, the game would have ended just before Midnight.

Its a shame more games don't start at 4 pm, its hard to get up in the morning and go to work when a game ends at midnight.

The baseball gods don't care as much for the fans in the stands just the ones in the luxury box's, and corporate sponsors .

They care for the "regular" fan just as much as the fleet owner cares about cab drivers.
