Its been all over the local news the last two days, it seems the Hillsborough County Public Transportation Commission has "lost" approximately $400,000 from a contingency fund.The best part of all this no one knows if it happened before or after Greg Cox was fired er quit, he was facing accusations of lax financial oversight.
It seems Mr Cox acquired $12,000 in what is called unauthorized allowance pay, which was forgiven as part of his severance package, along with three months of his pay which was $25,298, don't we wish we received that from our cab company when we leave?
The County Commissioners are promising an investigation, as we all know they are politicians, I can only hope they keep this promise better then there campaign promises, only time will tell.
